Bombshell star rumored to be playing iconic Doctor Strange character from the comics.
We're just a few days away from the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will provide some of the biggest burning questions that Marvel fans have had ever since the release of the first teaser trailer.
For the past few months, fans have seen rumors and scoops, which talk about potential characters and cameos that might make their way into the Doctor Strange sequel. From Tom Cruise playing a variant of Iron Man to Sir Patrick Stewart returning to play Charles Xavier, it seems like the movie will have a ton of surprises for the MCU fandom.
One character that has gained a lot of traction in recent weeks has been Clea, the Sorceress. The character has been a major component in comic book storylines of Doctor Strange. She has had links to Dormammu, who appeared as the antagonist in the first Doctor Strange movie, and moreover, she has also been the Sorcerer's love interest in the comics.
For a while, it seemed like Rachel McAdams' Dr. Christine Palmer had been touted as the character who will soon assume the mantle of Clea. However, according to MCU insider MyTimeToShineHello, the character will instead be portrayed by the Bombshell, Atomic Blonde, and Mad Max: Fury Road actress, Charlize Theron.
Along with that, the scooper also mentioned that Rachel McAdams will also play the role of Night Nurse, who will be working for the Illuminati. The character in the comics has also had romantic links to Doctor Strange, but for the most part, she has been known for providing medical care to the Marvel superhero community.
With an already stacked cast, the addition of Charlize Theron should definitely excite Marvel fans, and the movie is slowly shaping up to be a wild ride that fans can't wait to experience.
